Of course, first and foremost, I recommend my own book. After all, one of the goals of writers is
to sell their own books. This not only makes us feel appreciated, it also helps pay the rent.
However, besides my own books (to which I am understandably quite partial), there are a number of
other science fiction books that I highly recommend if you haven't already read them. I personally adore Isaac Asimov.
A good introduction to the Foundation series are the three Lije Bale/R.(Robot) Daneel Olivaw novels. They are easy reads -
being sci-fi detective stores, but at the same time thought provoking with themes of friendship and acceptance.
Below are some of my other favorites. Although I read sci-fi voraciously, I am quite picky in what I really like. I don't particularly like "shoot-em-up" sci-fi. I also don't like series that throw magic into the mix.
