Welcome to my writing journal.   Follow my progress as I puzzle through problems and try to balance my life between creativity and marketing. Keep in mind, this journal is somewhat informal as I use it primarily to keep myself focused on my goals and as a record of my thoughts. Sometimes there will be lists of things to do, records of things I've done, challenges involving my characters and changes that I need to make.

Advice
Everyone is most helpful in providing me with advice as to how to improve my websites. Unfortunately, many of the suggestions conflict with one another. However, I have spent much of the morning working on the sites to make them clearer. I have also created a "Twitter" entry for Ambassador Grizzlob and a journal entry for Captain Forrester.  I wish more people would follow Grizzlob on Twitter, or at least read his blog - which (I think) is very amusing. The marketing challenge here is how to attract readers?  Of course, everyone has their own piece of advice reagrding this also.

Writing Conflicts

Ambassador Grizzlob is taking over my life. He has adventures on Twitter - which mean several updates a day, as well as his own blog - which entails entries & comments on a daily basis as well. The conflict arises because Ambassador Grizzlob is quite a comical figure. Morn is quite serious. The issues that Captain Forrester is deal with are fairly intense. I feel I am torn between the two.

Details

I have decided to go through my sites & make sure my links open new browser windows rather than dumping the reader into a new site. Re MTB, Dr. Staimler is going to keep on writing to his brother. His letters make good transitions between periods of time.

Balancing Marketing with Writing
Balancing marketing with writing is not easy. I'm now running a blog for the gorbul ambassador as well as "Twitter" adventures. Amazon STILL has not reversed the order of the reviews. They have the WORST review that I ever received first. Unfortunately, Amazon is so enormous that there are no real people to talk to. Customer support is useless. I was only able to write a page on MTB.

Many Tasks
As I try to promote the websites, I am madly juggling writing MTB with making Twitter entries for Ambassador Grizzlob, as well as making blog entries for Grizzlob and blog responses. As soon as I get the order of reviews on the Amazon site attended to, I shall send out a blast of postcards directing people to my sites. On the home front, I have to clean the house. (Potential summer renters coming at noon). I have to buy a birthday present for a friend & attend her celebration this evening. I also have bills to pay.

Extremely Frustrating
Why am I not suprised? It turns out that this website, while it can handle my own postings, does not accept the replies. This means I have to set up blogs  on another site and link them. I still have to deal with Amazon and their order of reviews. Will I ever get to write?

Twitter
I am establishing a character on Twitter called Ambassador Grizzlob. He is an ambassador for the Gorbuls. The hope is to build up some viral interest in Morn.

Trials and Tribulations

I spent most of yesterday dealing with Amazon regarding the fact that my book has VANISHED from the Amazon search function and can only be found by its ISBN number. The matter still has not been resolved. However, I did manage to post another Forrester entry to the Forrester site this morning.I am finding the balance between creativity and marketing to be very tricky. However, I must move ahead with FTB ("Morn:The Beginning).  I am quite pleased with the first hundred and sixty pages.
